Windsor Cottage is a self catering holiday home in the heart of Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a short walk to three sandy beaches and the spectacular coastal scenery, including the dramatic Worms Head peninsula.

The beaches here are only accessible by foot, which means they are never crowded, and the beach at Rhossili – famous for it’s surfing and hang gliding has well maintained steps down to the sand.

Middleton is a quiet agricultural village less than an hour from the M4 and ten minutes walk to Rhossili, at the South West corner of the Gower.

The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom where the second bed is stored beneath the first until required. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes.

Duvets are provided, and guests bring their own sheet, duvet covers and pillow cases but these can be provided for a small charge if requested.

The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric cooker, small fridge, toaster and microwave.

The bathroom has an electric shower above the bath and a heated towel rail.

The whole cottage is kept warm by night storage heaters, and an electric fire in the sitting room makes it extra cosy.

The National Trust owns large parts of the headland and Rhossili Down, all wonderful walking ground. The sandy bays reveal large expanses of golden sand and rock pools at low tide. The more accessible beaches of Langland, Caswell, Oxwich and Port Eynon are a car ride away, leaving just a short walk from the car parks to the beach.

The city of Swansea, fifteen miles away is a good place to visit on a wet day. There are three museums, an art gallery, a theatre and a concert hall. The pretty town of Mumbles next to Swansea is a great place to explore, with its famous lifeboat and pier, and Welsh craft shops.
