The
Gower Peninsula is 19 miles long and her varied environment
was declared the first AONB. Parts of it are looked after by
the National Trust for future generations.
Gower has lovely beaches for children (and adults) and is truly
a "bucket & spade” holiday destination - not
forgetting the rock pools and looking for crabs at low tide.
Many of the bays including Port Eynon are suitable for wind
surfing, body boarding and sailing. A boat trip to view the
wonderful cliff formations and a close-up view of Worms Head
and close encounters with a variety of marine life is a must! |
|
For the walking enthusiast,
there just couldn’t be a larger contrast. From the wonderful,
peaceful, inland rambles, to the more challenging, rugged
scenic beauty of the Gower coastline. Please don't forget
your camera or your paint box and brushes and you won't be
disappointed.
There are ancient castles to explore and tales of shipwrecks
and smugglers relating to Gower’s colourful past. |
