Crud yr Awel is an iconic house at the centre of the Conservation Area of Rhossili within five minutes walk of Rhossili beach and easy walking distance to Fall Bay and Mewslade.   It was built on the site of a working farm and still retains the vestiges of the old milking parlour in the garden. The Bower is an annexe to the main house built in 1995, echoing the original distinctive architecture of the house. Overlooking the historic Vile (medieval strip field system) and its network of cliff top footpaths, the Bower also commands views of the 13th century church and the islet of Burry Holms at the far end of Rhossili Bay.

Nearby are pub, restaurants and shops – all you need for a relaxing holiday. You can park your car in the yard and leave it for the duration of your stay.

Simply but stylishly furnished, the Bower comprises a modern fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and open plan living area with French windows opening on to a patio and lawn area with barbeque. The vaulted hallway leads up to the half landing with library sitting area. A further stairway leads to the bedroom with large window and vaulted ceiling.

The fully equipped kitchen includes built in oven and ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and Microwave oven. The spacious living area includes comfortable leather chairs, flat screen HD TV, DVD and audio equipment and feature electric fireplace. Background heating is provided by combined electric convector/storage heaters. The four piece bathroom includes, corner bath with shower over and bidet.

The bedroom is flexibly furnished to provide the option of either super king size (6ft) or twin bed arrangement and comfortable sofa together with double wardrobe and chest of drawers.


Leave the M4 at junction 42 and drive along the seafront through Swansea towards Mumbles. Turn right onto the B4436 through Kittle. Turn right then left onto the A4418 towards Port Eynon and continue for approximately 12 miles. At Scurlage turn right onto the B4247 towards Rhossili. Drive through Pitton and Middleton. On reaching Rhossili, continue past the church and Crud yr Awel is the first house on the right.

Terms and Conditions
Provisional bookings are held for seven days pending receipt of deposit.

A non-returnable deposit of £150 is payable on booking. The balance is due eight weeks prior to the holiday commencing. Once the booking has been confirmed the client is liable for the full rental in the event of cancellation.

In addition, a bond of £100 is required two weeks prior to arrival. This will be returned in full within two weeks of your departure providing the property is left in good condition.

In the event of cancellation, please notify us in writing. You are liable for the balance of the rental in full. However, we shall endeavour to re-let the accommodation. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of unexpected cancellation.

Accommodation will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 11am on the day of departure.

Bookings are accepted on the condition that the property is left clean and tidy. Guests are fully responsible for the property and are liable for any loss or damage to the property or contents. Any damage or breakages will be paid for out of the £100 bond.

Sorry but we cannot allow dogs. We request no smoking in the property and the Bower is only suitable for two people.

Cars, boat, contents, luggage and personal belongings are at the owners’ risk.

The number in the party must not exceed the number stipulated when booking. The hirer shall not part with possession of the property or share it, except with the members of the party. The owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without a refund for a breach of these conditions.

The property owners shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time during the holiday occupancy.
