Half of a large and elegant, detached two bedroom Victorian house with many original features offering spacious accommodation over two floors. The property is away from the road and secluded at the rear. Within easy walking distance of the village of Mumbles (150 metres) and only a 2 minute drive to Langland Bay for golf, tennis etc. The large bedrooms each have a double bed, but cots and folding beds can be added to increase the accommodation to suit the guests. Pets are welcome by arrangement. Please see charges.

The property is situated opposite Underhill Park and is within easy walking distance of Mumbles, Langland and Newton Village – all within a few minutes walk. Just across the park is the Gower Coastal Park , (the first ever declared Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Britain), where walkers can access a stretch of coastal path extending the full length of the Peninsula, about 15 miles.

Ty Newydd is the perfect location for those wishing to explore the local terrain or as a base for travelling further afield.


Ground floor:

The main entrance is to the side of the property into hallway. The lounge/conservatory has a feature fireplace, soft seating and occasional furniture, TV with free view and DVD. From this room there are French windows onto a gated terrace, which leads to a generous private paved garden with mature planting and a feature pond.

The large fitted kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, table and 4 chairs, (but this can be increased on request) and access to an enclosed courtyard. Hallway with stairs leading to first floor. High chairs are available for children, as is a stairgate.

First floor:
2 large and airy double bedrooms with high ceilings and sash windows. The family bathroom has a walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Charges
These range from £380 to £650 per week, beginning on a Saturday, and ending at 10.30am on the following Sunday. A discount of 10% is given for stays of two weeks or longer. Long weekends are available out of season (October to May). Dogs are charged at £15 per week. Additional guests, i.e over 4 persons are charged at £30 per week, although this only applies to persons over 12 years of age.

Mumbles / Langand Bay area
Mumbles village is a short walk along the safe coastal path to Bracelet, Rotherslade Langland and Caswell Bays. Langland and Caswell Bays are safe and attract surfers in all seasons and there is tennis and golf for enthusiasts.

Local attractions are many and various including natural geographical attractions like coastal and valley walks, the famous beaches of Three Cliffs and Rhossili and cultural attractions in Bishopston, Mumbles and Swansea all in close proximity. It is also possible to go further afield to the Black Mountains, Dan Yr Ogof caves and even the Brecon Beacons.
