The village of Mumbles
|
Mumbles lifeboat station and pier |
Swansea Bay stretches from the Maritime quarter of Swansea to the fishing
village of Mumbles. It is very accessible, running adjacent to the road.
There is plenty of car parking and access for prams. Usually there is
some beach, even at high tide. Many people use this beach for water sports.
Attention is drawn to the Mumbles Lifeboat Station at the far end of the
bay. It serves as a reminder that the sea is to be enjoyed but overall,
respected.
A seasonal dog ban is in place from 1st April to 30th Spetember each year.
The areas affected by this are from the River Tawe to the slip opposite
Swansea Baths and from the beach access Sketty Lane to the Northern edge
of the slip opposite the West Cross Inn.
The promenade runs West to Knab Rock.
