Mewslade bay is one of the prettiest bays on Gower. The short walk to Mewslade beach, leads from the car park in Pitton, (Rhossili) down a wooded path and then through the valley which is owned by the National Trust. The path is not suitable for pushchairs and can get muddy in places during the Winter.

Mewslade: Dog and family friendly

Facilities include:

  • car park (private fee charged)
  • Green Coast Award
  • Nearest village is Rhossili
  • Dogs allowed all year

There is no beach at high tide, but it is mesmerising to watch the sea crashing against the rocks. The bay is popular with surfers, body boarders and families.

At very low tide it is possible to walk (in the direction of Rhossili) around into Fall Bay from Mewslade.

The cliff path leads East to Butterslade and West to Fall Bay.
