Broughton Bay is another enormous sandy beach in North Gower, on the end of the Loughor Estuary.

Facilities include:

  • car park at Broughton (private fee charged)
  • seasonal food shop
  • suitable for water sports

Bathing here can be dangerous with the tides, so care is needed.

A short walk of about 5 to 10 minutes from the car park and through the campsite in Llangennith, will deliver you to the beach.

Alternatively, it can be reached by following the road and then the footpath from St Madoc’s Church in Llanmadoc.

Bluepool Corner lies 1Km to the West of Broughton, while Whiteford Sands can be found 1.5Km to the East.
